Private Tour of the Panama Canal
Private Helicopter Tour of the Panama Canal
The Panama Canal is a must see for travelers all over the world, and what better way to see it than from above? A driver will take you from your hotel to the domestic airport in Panama City. From there, board the helicopter and prepare for a truly unique experience! Not only will you fly over each of the locks throughout the Panama Canal, but you will also fly over the Embera Indigenous territory, allowing you to see their villages from above. After that, the helicopter goes over Panama City where guests will be able to fully distinguish the new city from Casco Viejo (old town). Eventually flying over the iconic hill and returning to the airport.
*If guests prefer, taking a helicopter to Isla Palenque with the same service is an option.

Panama City to Isla Palenque
Upon arrival at David, there will be a driver waiting to take you from David to Boca Chica for a scenic 1 hour 30 minute drive. From Boca Chica, take a boat to Isla Palenque for 20 minutes.

There is a morning and afternoon flight from PTY to DAV daily with COPA Airlines. With the morning flight, guests have the opportunity to spend more time at the beach, but the afternoon flight allows guests to do a morning walking tour of Casco Viejo.

Return to Panama City / End of Tour
Return by boat to Boca Chica (20-minute boat ride), followed by a 1-hour drive to the David Airport. We recommend the early COPA Flight from DAV - PTY with COPA Airlines in order to catch same-day international return flight. If your only option of international return flight is early morning, or if you would like to stay in Panama City for an additional night(s), please let me know and we can help get you situated properly.

“Palenque” means refuge or sanctuary, and that’s exactly what travelers will find on Isla Palenque, a 400-acre private island retreat just off of Panama's northern Pacific Coast. For centuries, the islands dotting the emerald waters of the Gulf of Chiriquí have provided a safe haven for humans and wildlife alike. Pottery shards and stone tools found on Isla Palenque offer clues to the island's past Pre-Colombian inhabitants and the surrounding waters are rich with marine life, which flourishes without the pressures of human development. Today, guests can discover the island's past on guided forest hikes, scramble over ocean boulders to feel the spray from a blowhole, cast a line for rockfish, paddle a kayak or SUP along more than five miles of coastline, or venture further by boat into the Gulf of Chiriquí National Marine Park to snorkel among tropical reefs and lounge on deserted white sand beaches straight out of Robinson Crusoe.
